On 8 May 2026, an IED detonated in Kubaisa district (coded as Kubaysah city, Al Anbar), injuring one or two civilians, including a farmer who had tried to tamper with the device. The IED had been left in the area by ISIL militants. Security forces opened an investigation. 1 or 2 injured. There were no fatalities.
