On 7 May 2026, evening, US forces carried out airstrikes against targets including Bahman passenger pier and military sites in the port of Qeshm in Qeshm Island (Qeshm, Hormozgan). Several explosion sounds at short intervals, accompanied by air defence activity were heard. This event occurred following the ceasefire agreed between the US, Israel, and Iran on 7 April. CENTCOM reported that Iranian forces launched missiles, drones, and fast attack craft at US naval vessels transiting the strait, with no reported damage, after which US forces conducted retaliatory strikes targeting Iranian launch sites and related military infrastructure. Casualties unknown.
