On 7 May 2026, evening, US forces carried out airstrikes against targets including Tahruyi Port in Sirik (Sirik, Hormozgan). 6 explosions with 40-second intervals in between were heard. CENTCOM reported that Iranian forces launched missiles, drones, and fast attack craft at US naval vessels transiting the strait, with no reported damage, after which US forces conducted retaliatory strikes targeting Iranian launch sites and related military infrastructure. This event occurred following the ceasefire agreed between the US, Israel, and Iran on 7 April. Casualties unknown.
