On 2 May 2026, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike targeting the old Shiite Husseiniya in Douair town (Al Nabatieh, Al Nabatieh), completely destroying it. The airstrike also damaged a condolence hall, and a center for the Islamic Risala Scout Association, though not directly attacked. Graves of the deceased and the martyrs' cemetery were also heavily damaged, along with several cars that had been parked nearby. The attack caused one injury.
