On 2 May 2026, four DRG troopers were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), planted by Naxal-Maoists cadres under the Chhote Bethiya police station limits in Kanker district (Chhattisgarh), during a de-mining operation. They later succumbed to their injuries.
