On 5 May 2026, in El Catorce (Valdivia, Antioquia), five people were left stunned following the detonation of an explosive device on the side of the road leading to Puerto Valdivia. The circumstances under which the explosive was activated are unclear. It is also unknown whether the intended target was civilians or military troops in the area. The area is known to have a presence of FARC dissident groups, the ELN, and the Gulf Clan. There were no fatalities.
