Military columns raided villages along the Ayeyarwady River in eastern Salin Township, Magway Region, on May 1, resulting in civilian deaths and the destruction of three villages by fire, local residents told Khit Thit Media.

The military columns conducted a sweeping offensive through the riverside area, setting fire to Thanat Kone, Htanoung Kone, and Kan Swel villages.

In addition to the civilian casualties caused by the military's gunfire during the raids, numerous livestock—including pigs and cattle raised by locals—perished in the fires that razed the villages.
