In the village of El Cántaro, municipality of San Andrés de Cuerquia, #Antioquia, soldiers from the 10th Light Infantry Battalion Colonel Atanasio Girardot of the #FourthBrigade carried out the controlled destruction of an improvised explosive device (IED). The device was found on a road leading to this rural area. This explosive is believed to have been planted by members of the GAO-r Structure 36, with the intention of harming the civilian population and the security forces. Thanks to the troops' timely response, this criminal act was neutralized, and work continues for the security of the communities in northern Antioquia.
