On May 7, at approximately 2:15 p.m., the military deployed two jet fighters and a Y-12 transport plane to conduct a continuous 40-minute bombardment of Kyauktaw village and surrounding areas in Minbya Township.
The statement confirmed that the strikes caused multiple civilian casualties, destroyed residential buildings, and killed local livestock.
The assault continued in Kyauktaw Township, where four fighter jets targeted the area around Thuk Kyauk.
Later that evening, between 10:00 p.m. and 10:25 p.m., the military dropped eight 500-pound bombs on the region. Just minutes later, at 10:28 p.m., two Y-12 aircraft released 24 cluster bombs over the area.
The casualties from these bombings include one civilian, a prison medical staff member, and a child. At least ten others sustained moderate to serious injuries.
The strikes also caused significant agricultural loss, including the deaths of seven cows belonging to a resident of Pyay Chaung Village.
