Three U.S. Navy destroyers — USS Truxtun, USS Mason and USS Rafael Peralta — came under a heavier Iranian attack Thursday while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Iran launched missiles, drones and fast-attack boats, prompting U.S. forces to respond with naval guns, helicopters and air support. No U.S. ships were hit or damaged, officials said.
