On April 30, Pakistan’s security forces foiled an infiltration attempts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, killing eight terrorists affiliated with “Fitna al-Khawarij” during an exchange of fire in Mohmand District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to Aaj TV. In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the incursion was repelled, with eight militants killed in the District, adding that a clearance operation is currently underway in the affected areas to locate and eliminate any remaining militants, and that they were operating with foreign backing. Further, the statement reiterated Pakistan’s demand that Afghan Taliban authorities ensure their territory is not used for activities against Pakistan.
