On May 7, a cadre of the United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) Democratic, named Mohammad Emon Hossain (25), was shot dead in Horticulture Center area of ??Islampur in Panchhari Upazila (Sub-District) of Khagrachhari District, reports Prothom Alo. The organisation claims that UPDF (Prosit) is involved in the murder. UPDF Democratic organiser Amar Chakma said, "Imon Hossain is an associate member of our organization. He went home yesterday, Wednesday, as his wife was ill. In the morning, he was waiting for a car by the side of the road to come to Panchhari Bazar. Just then, terrorists from the UPDF (Prosit) group came in a Mahindra car and shot him and fled."
