On May 6, Police arrested two residents of Fazilka District in Punjab, identified as Kulwinder Singh and Robin Singh, on National Highway-911 (NH-911) near Sri Ganganagar District of Rajasthan with 1.494 kilograms of heroin, 990 grams of opium, five pistols with magazines and 74 live cartridges from their vehicle linked to a Pakistan-based handler, reports The Tribune. Investigations revealed that the consignment was dropped through a satellite-controlled drone and collected with the help of local conduits. Acting on intelligence inputs, Police intercepted the suspects after a chase near Sameja town. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Raghuveer Sharma stated that the accused were in contact with a Pakistan-based crime syndicate handler identified as Ahmed. Investigations are continuing.
