On May 6, a Rohingya leader (Majhi) identified as Mohammad Kamal Prakash Noor (45) was killed in the shooting incident by unknown assailants that took place at B-41 block of the refugee camp (Camp-8 West) in the Balukhali refugee camp in Ukhiya Upazila (Sub-District) of Cox's Bazar District, reports Prothom Alo. Kamal is the younger brother of Nabi Hossain, the 'head sailor' of F Block and the leader of the Rohingya armed group Arakan Rohingya Army (ARA) or Nabi Hossain Bahini. In Hossains absence, Kamal was responsible for recruiting and managing the team members at the shelter. It was also reported that Kamal was killed in suspected Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) firing, due to the conflict between ARSA and ARA.
