On May 4, suspected militants carried out two low-intensity explosive attacks in Imphal West District of Manipur, targeting residential areas under Lamphel Police Station, reports Northeast Now. At around 10:30 PM, a bomb was lobbed into the courtyard of Khumbongmayum Suresh (47) at Iroisemba Mayai Leikai, damaging part of the house wall without causing casualties. In a separate incident, unidentified miscreants planted a hand grenade with a last warning letter at the gate of Dr. Salam Arvind in Langjing Achouba and fired two rounds. No injuries were reported. Teams of the Manipur Police Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and forensic experts safely neutralised the explosives. No group has claimed responsibility. Police have registered cases and initiated an investigation.
