During a police raid based on operational intelligence, police arrested a 28-year-old man for illegal possession of a firearm. The suspect, who is reportedly linked to an organised criminal group, attempted to flee the premises upon the arrival of the police and discarded a pistol with an obliterated serial number. Police officers successfully caught the suspect and seized the handgun. Two other men, aged 25 and 18, were also taken for questioning. The suspect has been charged with the illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials.
