The Karen National Union (KNU) released a statement on the night of May 3 reporting that three civilians, including a displaced woman, were injured by heavy artillery fire from military council troops in Ler Doh Township, Kler Lwee Htoo (Nyaunglebin) District—an area under Kawthoolei administration.
On May 1, the military council’s Light Infantry Battalion 264 fired four 120mm mortar shells into Lein Pin Wine village. The attack injured 56-year-old Maung Zaw Lwin, 40-year-old Ma Mi Thu, and 58-year-old Daw Nwet Htay, who had fled to the area from Taw Lu Kho village due to the conflict.
