SAA event in Mexico on Sat 25th April 2026
25th April 2026
Five suspected criminals were killed Friday morning in General Terán, Nuevo León, after a direct attack on Civil Force police officers during a patrol. The men, dressed in camouflage and tactical gear, opened fire upon spotting the officers. The response was immediate. The confrontation ended with all five assailants dead and no police officers injured. Five rifles, improvised explosive devices, magazines, and cartridges were recovered at the scene. According to information we were able to establish in the area, the location had already been identified by law enforcement agencies as an area of movement for armed groups. General Terán is not an isolated case. Last March, in this same region and the neighboring municipality of China, a group of workers was kidnapped on ranches; seven were released, one remains missing. The area is plagued by a silent conflict that continues to result in armed incidents. Following the clash, reinforcements from the National Defense Secretariat and the National Guard were deployed to contain the area. The pattern is clear: patrols that end in crossfire in territories where control remains contested.
