SAA event in Mexico on Mon 27th April 2026
27th April 2026
Today, in the municipality of Parás, an armed group was killed after a direct confrontation with Fuerza Civil (State Police) during the deployment of Operation Muralla (Wall Operation). The individuals opened fire upon being detected, triggering an exchange that resulted in six assailants being killed at the scene. This was not an isolated incident. Authorities had been following reports of armed men attempting to advance toward the Monterrey metropolitan area, which raised alerts in municipalities such as Agualeguas and General Treviño, a region historically used as a corridor by criminal cells operating in the northeast. At the scene, five vehicles, 18 high-powered rifles, and four .50 caliber Barrett rifles were found—armament not commonly found in improvised groups and indicative of operations targeting structures with logistical capacity and heavy firepower. Our team observed shell casings scattered along a dirt road and vehicles riddled with bullet holes. Operation Wall remains active with the presence of the National Guard and the Ministry of National Defense, while the area remains under guard and so far no identities or group to which those killed belonged have been revealed.
