A cache of weapons was uncovered in Villagrán following an operation by the Mexican Army and the National Guard in the community of Los Ángeles. Authorities seized 16 firearms, 31 magazines, and 1,104 rounds of ammunition, as well as 33 ballistic plates and tactical gear ready for combat. No arrests were made. According to information gathered in the area, the raided location was being used to store weapons for criminal cells operating in the Laja-Bajío corridor, a region marked by conflict between groups involved in fuel theft and territorial control in Guanajuato. This discovery is not an isolated incident. Villagrán has been the site of numerous similar operations and seizures, reflecting an active logistical structure that continues to supply armed groups in the region. While authorities maintain a presence, the flow of weapons demonstrates that the conflict remains ongoing.
