A military operation in Altar, Sonora, resulted in the seizure of weapons, ammunition, and tactical equipment during coordinated patrols between the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and the Criminal Investigation Agency in the region. The operation was carried out as part of the National Public Security Strategy in an area of northwestern Sonora that has been used in recent years as a corridor for criminal activity and routes linked to human trafficking and organized crime activities toward the northern border. During the ground surveillance and reconnaissance patrols, three firearms, fifty-eight magazines of various calibers, one thousand five hundred and ten rounds of ammunition, a stolen vehicle, and restricted tactical equipment were seized. No arrests were reported. The seized material was turned over to the appropriate authorities for analysis and inclusion in ongoing investigations, while the area remains under the surveillance of security forces.
