As Ukrinform reported, two incidents involving drones have been recorded in Latvia over the past week . On the night of March 25, a drone flew into Latvian airspace from Russia and exploded in the Kraslav region. Another drone briefly crossed the border from Belarus and then returned to Russia.

Latvian President Edgars Rinkėvičs confirmed that a Ukrainian drone used during an operation against Russian targets crashed in the Kraslav region.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated that Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia have no doubt that the cause of the downing of Ukrainian drones on their territory is Russian aggression against Ukraine, and the consequence of these incidents should be increased pressure on Moscow.

According to Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, Ukraine has intelligence that Russia is purposefully diverting drones towards the Baltic countries and Finland in order to use such incidents for informational provocations.
