SAA event in Mexico on Sat 2nd May 2026
2nd May 2026
Two car washers were shot in broad daylight on Guerrero Avenue in the Santa Julia neighborhood of Irapuato. Men on a motorcycle arrived directly at the location and opened fire without saying a word, leaving both men wounded on the pavement. One of them, identified as Alberto, alias “El May” or “Chimpancé,” managed to run, covered in blood, to a nearby elementary school for safety. His sudden appearance sparked panic among students and staff. People we interviewed at the scene recounted that “he ran in screaming that they wanted to kill him; he was wounded, and everyone was terrified.” The attackers fled as they arrived, on a motorcycle, without a trace. No arrests have been made. The area, near the Nasaar Housing Complex, has seen a surge in violence in recent years, with direct attacks following the same pattern: mobile assailants, specific targets, and quick getaways. Paramedics treated the two men and transported them to the hospital alive. The Attorney General's Office collected shell casings and opened a case file. The attack was not random: it was direct, precise, and had a message.
