Eleven people were injured in a shooting during a street dance in the Venustiano Carranza borough of Mexico City. An argument between attendees escalated into an armed attack at the intersection of Soles and Norte 186 in the early hours of Sunday morning. According to the Secretariat of Citizen Security, one of those involved pulled out a firearm and fired several shots at the crowd, causing panic and the immediate dispersal of attendees. The event, which had drawn dozens of people in a festive atmosphere, descended into chaos. The injured went to Balbuena General Hospital on their own, while Mexico City police arrested a man at the scene who was carrying a firearm and is believed to have participated directly in the attack. The area, known for hosting large nighttime events, was placed under police guard while investigations began to clarify what happened and determine the legal status of the detainee.
