A police intervention on José María Morelos Boulevard in León, Guanajuato, resulted in the arrest of 13 people after a group of motorcyclists attacked police officers and damaged a patrol car during a traffic control operation. The incident occurred shortly after 2:25 p.m., when authorities responded to citizen reports of a gathering of motorcyclists at various points throughout the city. Upon arriving at the José María Morelos Bypass, the officers were confronted by several motorcyclists who, according to the official report, threw rocks at the patrol car and obstructed the traffic control operation. León has experienced numerous large gatherings of motorcyclists and rides, which in some cases have led to traffic disruptions and clashes with municipal authorities. These types of events have prompted increased surveillance operations on the city's main thoroughfares. As a result of the operation, 12 people were cited for administrative offenses, and one more was turned over to the Public Prosecutor's Office for alleged damage to a traffic police vehicle. The case is under review by the relevant authorities.
