Two people, a man and a woman, were found dead inside and outside a pickup truck in the municipality of Madera, Chihuahua, in a violent incident that occurred Friday night at the intersection of Socorro Rivera and the road to the Peñitas Dam. The victims were found next to a gray 2002 Dodge RAM pickup truck, which had its doors open. Outside, on the driver's side, was the body of a man preliminarily identified as Ramón Alejandro I. A., 48 years old, with multiple gunshot wounds. In the back seat was the body of a woman, approximately 45 years old, with a slender build and light brown complexion, who also had gunshot wounds. The discovery was made in a rural area of Madera, a mountainous region where incidents related to criminal disputes and the presence of armed groups have occurred at various times. At the scene, 7.62x39mm and .223 caliber shell casings were recovered. The bodies were transported to the Forensic Medical Service for autopsies and official identification.
