On 1 May 2026, at night, Russian forces carried out massive drone strikes at the residential areas and energy infrastructure in the Osnovyanskyi, Kholodnohirskyi, Kyivskyi, Slobidskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kharkiv city, Kharkiv. 1 civilian received a shrapnel wound in the Saltivskyi district. Also, a 77-year-old woman were injured, and a 55-year-old man had an acute stress reaction. Moreover, an administrative building and 4 gas stations were damaged, several cars were destroyed, 1 more gas station in the Kharkivskyi District was damaged. According to local sources, Russian forces may have used drones equipped with artificial intelligence.
