On 1 May 2026, Russian Forces carried out air and drone strikes at unspecified targets in Shchaslyve, Zaporizhia. A 33-year-old civilian man was injured. Russian forces (units of the 'Dniepr' group using operational-tactical aviation, combat UAVs, missile forces, and artillery) struck the Ukrainian personnel and equipment of mechanized and mountain assault brigades near Shchaslyve. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian military lost: an armored combat vehicle, 11 vehicles, an electronic warfare station and up to 40 Ukrainian servicemen were killed near Yurkivka, Shchaslyve and Zaporozhets [Russian MoD reported 40 fatalities.
