On 1 May 2026, in Khuapisip village (Falam township, Falam district, Chin state), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike with a jet fighter from the Tada-U airbase and dropped two 500-lb bombs on a volleyball court and the surrounding area around 3:10 pm. Myanmar Pressphoto Agency reported that the airstrike killed 5 men including a 10-year-old child and injured many. The Narinjara News and Khit Thit Media reported that 5 children and one man were killed, and 10 people were injured. Mizzima reported that the airstrike killed 5 children and one young man, and injured 9 people. Khonumthung News reported that the airstrike killed 6 people including 3 children and injured 9 people. The Voice of Chinland - VOC reported that the airstrike killed 7 people including 6 children and injured 9 people. Fatalities coded as 6, using lowest estimate. 6 fatalities.
