On 28 April 2026, in Nam Mar town (Mohnyin township, Mohnyin district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military's Artillery Battalion 385 fired heavy weapons around 10:00 am, and two artillery shells landed in Shwe Pyi Aye ward. The shelling killed a man over the age of 50 and injured a 16-year-old boy and a woman over the age of 60. 1 fatality.
