On 27 April 2026, in Ke Bar village (Ayadaw township, Monywa district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike with a jet fighter from the Tada-U air base and dropped four bombs around 4:00 pm. The airstrike damaged the monastery. There were no casualties.
