On 20 April 2026, at night, Russian forces carried out 'Shahed'-type drone strikes at the residential areas in the Brovarskyi district (coded to Brovary town, Kyiv). According to Ukrainian sources, 1 drone directly struck a private house of a 51-year-old civilian man (Advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine) who was injured and admitted to a hospital. A fire broke out in one of the residential buildings that was later put out. Moreover, 2 private houses, 4 cars, and windows in an apartment building and the swimming pool were also damaged.
