🇹🇭🇰🇭 New tensions have arisen on the Thai-Cambodian border, with multiple people injured. The Royal Thai Army said that its forces had clashed with Cambodian protesters in the border district, after a group of about 200 crossed the border to dismantle Thai security barriers. The incident began when Cambodian authorities brought villagers to protest against Thailand’s installation of barbed wire and defensive obstacles along the frontier. Thai riot control officers deployed tear gas and rubber bullets, forcing both sides to pull back from the confrontation line. Cambodian protesters responded by hurling wooden sticks, stones, and firing slingshots at Thai officers, resulting in several injuries. The video shows a Cambodian monk picking up a tear gas grenade bare-handed and launching it back towards Thai forces.
