Two boys under 18 years old

Two boys under the age of 18 were arrested outside in Norrköping shortly after the shooting. The two suspects are in custody, suspected of attempted murder and aggravated weapons offenses. The crime classification has now been changed to murder.

The police do not want to go into how many shots were fired or whether the people were previously known to the police.

Do you see any gang connections or connections to previous events?

– It's obviously something we're looking at, says Martina Gradian.

It happens in an open space, during the eve of Walpurgis Mass. How should the public react to the fact that they may be subjected to crime?

– We cannot ignore the fact that there is a risk of being exposed to violent crime outdoors. But it exists throughout Sweden. We do our best to be there to protect citizens and right now we see nothing to indicate that a Norrköping resident should be worried about being outdoors, says Martina Gradian.

Police are appealing for witness statements

The police worked, among other things, to talk to witnesses, secure leads and knock on doors in the area.
