On April 28, Police arrested four pro-Khalistan operatives, Pardeep Singh Khalsa (alleged kingpin), Kulwinder Singh, Satnam Singh alias Satta and Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi, linked to an Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)-backed terror module, hours after a blast on the Delhi-Amritsar freight corridor railway track near Bothonia village between Shambu and Rajpura in Patiala District on April 27, in which a suspected bomber was killed (as reported earlier by SATP), reports The Tribune. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Patiala Range Kuldeep Singh Chahal said, heavy quantities of militant hardware were recovered. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Varun Sharma stated that one hand grenade, two .30 bore pistols, ammunition, communication devices and laptops were seized. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Explosive Act, Arms Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
