SAA event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rashakai, Bajaur District area, Pakistan on Fri 24th April 2026

On April 24, five Policemen were among eight people injured after unidentified assailants attacked a Police vehicle and a Rescue 1122 ambulance in two separate areas, namely Lowi Sam area and Rashakai area, in Khar tehsil (revenue unit) of Bajaur District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reports Dawn. According to Police and Rescue 1122 officials, the first incident occurred in the Lowi Sam area when assailants opened fire on a Police mobile carrying Policemen to the nearby Miagano post, injuring five Policemen in the vehicle, adding that the attackers managed to flee. The Police spokesperson added that second incident occurred about 20 minutes after the Lowi Sam incident, where a Rescue 1122 ambulance was attacked by unidentified assailants in Rashakai area when it was en route to the Lowi Sam area to take the injured Policemen to the Khar District Headquarters Hospital for treatment, in which three people were wounded, including the vehicle driver and two residents. No one has so far claimed responsibility for the attacks..
