On April 22, a Naga village volunteer, identified as Chihanngam Rungsung, was injured after being shot by suspected Kuki militants at Sinakeithei village in Ukhrul District of Manipur, Northeast Now reports. The victim sustained a bullet injury to his heel after allegedly being targeted by a sniper. Following the incident, Security Forces (SFs) launched combing operations in the area.
