SAA event in Sindh, Karachi area, Pakistan on Mon 20th April 2026

A doctor, identified as Dr Sarang Memon, was shot dead near Sharea Faisal in Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh, on the night of April 20, reports Aaj TV. The incident took place near Mehran Hotel, where Dr Sarang Memon was travelling with his wife in a rickshaw. Police said he was hit by four bullets on the chest and legs. He was taken to a hospital by his wife in a rickshaw, where doctors announced him dead. According to police, the deceased worked at a private hospital in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and lived near the Karachi Press Club. Officials said one of his brothers, an MBBS student at Liaquat University, had drowned in Jamshoro, while another was shot dead in Badin during unrest after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.
