On April 18, two civilians, including a retired Indian Army soldier, were killed when suspected militants ambushed vehicles on National Highway-202 near Litan in Ukhrul District of Manipur, reports NDTV. The deceased were identified as SW Chinaoshang (46) and Yaruingam Vashum (42), both residents of Ukhrul. The attack occurred near Yaolen Kuki village and also damaged at least two vehicles, triggering panic among commuters. Security Forces (SFs) launched combing operations and deployed additional personnel to prevent escalation.
