SAA event in Bergamo, Covo area, Italy on Fri 17th April 2026

On April 17, two Indian nationals, identified as Raginder Singh and Gurmit Singh, were shot dead in Covo, Bergamo province in Italy, just outside a gurdwara-linked warehouse during a Baisakhi gathering, reports The Tribune. According to initial reports, an unidentified assailant opened fire and fled the scene. Around ten shell casings were recovered. Authorities have not ruled out a premeditated attack, as investigations continue into the motive and identity of the shooter. A third person was reportedly grazed by bullets.
