On April 26, a terrorist military force of approximately 100 soldiers marching toward Sumpiyang and Wadat villages in Putao Township was intercepted and attacked by the Putao People's Defense Force and the Khakabora People's Defense Force.

During the attack, the terrorist military suffered significant casualties, and the entire column was reportedly routed and forced to retreat. The exact number of casualties on the military side has not yet been confirmed.
