Reuters news media reported that a Russian drone strike on the night of 26–27 April caused a fire aboard a civilian vessel and damaged a power facility at a cargo terminal in Odesa. The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority reported that there were no casualties and that the fires were quickly extinguished.
The general cargo vessel Ramco, which was transiting the Ukrainian maritime corridor, was also hit and sustained minor damage. The Ramco is a Nauru-flagged vessel built in 1993. It measures 92.80 metres in length, has a beam of 17.17 metres, and a gross tonnage of 2,992.
According to the Sea Ports Authority, the fires on both the vessel and at the power station were promptly brought under control. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties in the area.
The Ukrainian Air Force stated that Russian forces launched 94 drones toward Ukrainian territory starting from 15:00 GMT on 26 April, of which 74 were shot down.
Several drones also struck the southern city of Odesa, wounding more than a dozen people, including two children. Some residential buildings were damaged in the attack.
