On 23 April 2026, explosions took place in the village of Ain Ziwan in the countryside of Quneitra. This took place after Israeli forces advanced in Quneitra city and blasted the Dagestan Mosque, the courthouse, and several surrounding buildings in the old city Quneitra. There were no information on whether the explosions in Ain Ziwan were related to military operations or to the removal of remnants of a previous war. Casualities unknown.
