Missile event in Ukraine on Mon 20th April 2026

On 20 April 2026, Russian forces carried out four drone strikes at the residential area in Mykolayivka town, Donetsk. 8 apartment buildings, 2 administrative buildings, a market, a sports complex, an educational institution, a cultural center, office space, a hotel, and enterprise workshops were damaged. Civilian casualties unknown. Russian forces (units of the 'South' group using operational-tactical aviation, combat UAVs, missile forces, and artillery) struck the Ukrainian personnel and equipment of three mechanized brigades, a mountain assault brigade and a territorial defense brigade (coded to Kryva Luka) near Mykolayivka town. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian military lost: 2 armored combat vehicles, 16 vehicles, 2 field artillery pieces, an electronic warfare station, 1 ammo depot, 4 supply depots and up to 195 Ukrainian servicemen were killed near Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Kryva Luka, Mykolayivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kostiantynivka [Russian MoD reported 195 fatalities.
