On 21 April 2026, in Kan Htu Ma village (Taze township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped eight 200-pound bombs on the market at around 3:00 pm. About 10 civilian houses were destroyed. Khit Thit Media reported that 5 members of the local People's Defense Force and a civilian were injured. Shwe Phee Myay News Agency reported that 3 civilians (2 men and a woman) were injured. Myanmar Now reported that 5 members of the local people's defense force and a civilian were killed. Radio Free Asia reported that at least 11 civilians were injured. Fatalities coded as 0, using the lowest estimates.
