On 23 April 2026, in Nam Ma Hpyit village (Hpakant township, Mohnyin district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military on Na Ga Yon pagoda hill fired 60mm heavy weapons into an IDP camp inside a catholic church at around 10:05 pm. A 13-year-old IDP child was killed and 4 other IDPs were injured. 1 fatality.
