On 23 April 2026, in Hpakant town (Hpakant township, Mohnyin district, Kachin state), a combined force of the Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA) and allies conducted drone strikes on the Myanmar military soldiers in Ma Shi Ka Htaung ward at around 1:45 pm. At least 10 military soldiers were killed at two locations. 10 fatalities split across two locations (Hpakant and Long Hkin), and coded as 5 for this event.
