On 21 April 2026, in Pay Pin Shey village (Pyawbwe township, Yamethin district, Magway region), the Myanmar military troops stationed near the Pay Pin Shey village conducted a drone strike and dropped bombs which fell and exploded at the Shwe Myittar monastery. A man was killed and a monk was injured and lost his leg. A house was also destroyed. 1 fatality.
