On 18 April 2026, Israeli warplanes struck Hezbollah operatives near Israeli forces along 'the forward defense line' in southern Lebanon, coded to Tyr (Tyr, South), killing an unspecified number of Hezbollah operatives, coded as 3. The Israeli Air Force also struck a Hezbollah cell identified by the 401st Armored Brigade, and struck a Hezbollah tunnel shaft as Hezbollah operatives were entering it. Israeli artillery also shelled the same location. Casualties unknown. Additionally, the IDF announced that a Hezbollah planted an explosive device detonated as an Israeli engineering vehicle drove over it, killing 1 Israeli soldier and injuring 9 others. Total fatalities coded as at least 4.
