On 19 April 2026, the Malian army claimed to have carried out airstrikes on a JNIM base, located 30 km north of Sevare, near the town of Koubaye (Koubaye, Mopti, Mopti). Over 10 militants were neutralized (meaning killed), and several motorcycles, fuel depots, and logistical supplies were destroyed. Local sources said that the airstrikes targeted a JNIM gathering but did not cause any casualties. 10 fatalities coded, as per most reliable source, the Malian army statement.
